I didn't set out for this list to be almost all 80's songs, it just happened that way.

(I really wanted to make the song titles purple, but I don't know how to change font colors. Any suggestions?)

to get purple, you can do something like:
[span style="color: purple"]Purple Rain[/span]
where you replace the square brackets with angle brackets (ie the greater than and less than signs). I used square brackets so you'd see the code instead of seeing it rendered. here's how it renders:
