I don't get to look through photo albums full of family members I love and see myself among the old pictures. I wish I looked like one of my aunts or cousins, and not just in resemblance. I really do wish I could say, "I have Aunt Martha's eyes," and so on.
I look a LOT like my mother, though, with my father's eyes, so nobody has ever wondered if I'm adopted. It's kind of funny, actually. People mention it, and we just laugh and say, "Yup. We're twins." :)
