rjlonaGoodbye Murphy. We will all miss you.
On Thursday evening Murphy was acting a little strange, so Kate took him in to the vet. The vet thought he had an inner ear infection and gave Murphy some pennicillin (which he's allergic to, but that's not what caused it). On Friday he got much worse, and he died that night. John left Aethelmarc War Practice (in Pennsylvania) at 1:00 Saturday morning and was home by about 8:00AM. They had a necropsy done, and it turns out that Murphy had several large abcesses in his liver, and that's why he died. Murphy was only about 6 or 7 years old. He was Kate and John's first dog, and they are terribly upset. Thank you all for your expressions of sympathy; I'll pass them on to Kate and John.
