I'm finally here!

rjlonaHey folks, I'm finally setting up my own LJ account. (yeah, I know it's about time!). I figured today was a better day than most to join up.
ValDay totally rocked! As usual, there's nothing like celebrating your birthday (early) with a thousand of the strangest people you can find. Magda made me an awesome purple hedgehog birthday cake (pictures forthcoming), Flinx gave me a lovely purple scarf, and the most gorgeous amethyst necklace with three little hedgehogs (pictures to come). He had it made by a friend of his. I'd never take it off, except that it really gets tangled in my hair. And I can't see it well if I'm wearing it.
Other birthday stuff: My sister Jessica gave me the first season of the Muppet Show on DVD - yes, the one with Lydia the Tattooed Pig! That's about it for gifts, since I've just had a $300 brake job on my car and my sewing machine repair bill came to over $100. Later tonight I'm going out to dinner with the folks and Flinx.

I can spend way too much time there. I will say that the picture of Lydia the Tattooed Pig on this site is not nearly adequate to show how cute she really is.
Who filked Mahna Mahna? I know that Cake covered it at some point.
