Will I screw up my monitor if I clean the screen with window cleaner? It's a mess.

Depends on type of monitor:
CRT (big, TV like): Go ahead, won't hurt
LCD (thin, light): NOOOOO!

It's a CRT, so it looks like I can clean it. My niece had sticky hands when she had to show me something!

I used straight rubbing alcohol. Worked well for a first clean.
